I love warm beverages and I try to give my coffee and tea equal love. I have been drinking coffee since I was a few years old (no joke!). My Nonna would give me a latté when I visited her house. This probably explains why I am so short! In today’s blog post I am sharing #ANewWayToCafe with McCafé. 🙂
I had an opportunity to attend a specialty coffee cupping event that was hosted by McCafé Canada. I was able to sample the new McCafé specialty bean blend and the revamped espresso, cappuccino and latte beverages.
The new bean blend features beans sourced from Central America, South America and now also from Indonesia. The 100% Arabica beans that are used in the bean blend are all grown sustainably on Rainforest Alliance Certified farms. The coffee tasted very smooth and not bitter at all.
Espresso makes my heart skip a bean.
Along with beverages, McCafé Bakery selections were available. The beverages were provided with the suggestion McCafé Bakery pairing. Let me tell you, these were all good. I am so happy that I was also given a box full of bakery items to bring home.
This McCafé Bakery authentic croissant is made with real French butter. This flaky treat was a great complement the espresso or cappuccino. I would also suggest you try the mini chocolatine. They are baked fresh daily, made with all butter, and filled with semi-sweet chocolate for a delicious taste in every bite. Oh my goodness!
I can’t espresso how much you bean to me.
The brownie by Dufflet (a famous Toronto bakery) is handmade without gluten. It is so decadent, rich, chewy and chocolatey. 🙂 It paired perfectly with the McCafé Latté. You seriously need to try this brownie!
Thanks to McCafé Canada for inviting me to this great event.
I won’t be having many blog posts next week as I am out of town. Follow along on my California travel adventures on Instagram.
