My Day Trip To Beautiful Mt. Rainier

One of the very best things about having a blog and being active on social media is the people that I have met. Often it is not a meeting in person, but getting to know someone over time through social media interactions. I often think…gosh if this person lived close by we would be great friends. Meet Kayla…she is one of those people…and I actually got to spend a few days with her.

Kayla let me know that she would be coming to within a few hours of my home on a trip with her sister and asked if I wanted to join them. Of course I said yes!

Kayla is the most amazing  girl. She’s so sweet and kind. She’s just an all around all-star. She is such a fashionista and she kills it with her styling. She has Lupus…which sucks…but she takes the high road with it which I love! It was great talking to her about my diabetes and getting her perspective on living with it. She is amazing girl and I am so glad she’s my friend now. I only wish she didn’t live so far away!

Kayla’s sister Krystal is just a ball of joy and she’s amazing, too. Spending the day with them really made me wish that I had a sister.  Kayla is an amazing photographer making them a great team. You can tell they love traveling together. They both live in Kentucky and I am so excited for future adventures with them because it’s gonna happen.  🙂

I met them at their hotel in Seattle and we had plans to go to Mt. Rainier…which is in the Seattle area. We went just for the day and it was packed full of amazing adventures and of course picture taking.

We found lots of wildflowers, waterfalls and even some deer that didn’t seem too spooked by us.

A special thanks to Krystal for all the beautiful photos.

Hope you guys enjoyed this post! I can’t wait meet up with Kayla and Krystal again one day soon.  🙂

  • I love meeting blog friends in real life. It’s amazing how closely you connect with someone that lives so far away from you. Honestly, I think blog friendships are some of the most genuine.
