Superfood Protein Energy Bites


I try really hard to live a healthy lifestyle but also balance the fact that I love to eat and I am super busy. While I may indulge in a donut at my favourite coffee shop or eat a bit too much popcorn during a Netflix marathon, I try to make sure the majority of what I consume each day is good for me.

Superfood Protein Energy Bites

Typically my day starts with a smoothie that is packed with fresh fruits and vegetables. Adding a scoop of a premium protein source, such as fermented Greek yogurt proteins+ , to my morning smoothies helps me to get the protein I need to start the day.

Protein can also be added to your food and snacks, and since I love to bake I find myself adding it to my favourite recipes.

These superfood protein energy bites use the new fermented Greek yogurt proteins+ from Genuine Health. It is a premium protein source, provides nutrients vital to good health and has more than six times the calcium of whey protein. Plus, it is super creamy and combines well with other ingredients making it perfect for cooking and baking.

Ingredients
  1. 1 Scoop fermented Greek yogurt proteins+
  2. 1/3 Cup quinoa, raw
  3. Β½ Cup almonds, raw
  4. Β½ Cup pistachios, raw
  5. ΒΌ Cup pumpkin seeds, raw
  6. Β½ Cup dates
  7. 2 Tablespoons flax seeds
  8. 2 Tablespoons coconut oil
Topping
  1. 1 Cup chocolate
  2. Favourite seeds and nuts
Instructions
  1. Put all ingredients (except toppings) in a blender and process until smooth.
  2. Put into silicone ice cube or candy molds, filling 1/3 full.
  3. Freeze for a Β½ hour.
  4. Melt chocolate in the microwave, stirring a few times during process.
  5. Pour chocolate into top of molds and then sprinkle on favourite seeds and nuts. Put in freezer for an hour.
  6. Remove from mold and refrigerate until eating.
