For a Mother’s Day getaway, I took my mom to Whistler for a bit of an adventure. It was such a great place to go and spend some time together. My mom would prefer to do fun things together rather than receive a bought gift, so that is what I did!

Spring in Whistler (which is located in British Columbia, Canada) is so beautiful! You can enjoy the sun and blossoms in the village and also enjoy the snow on the mountain. When we were there, we went to Superfly Ziplines, which is such a crazy fun experience!
Superfly Ziplines Whistler
Superfly Ziplines, which is part of The Adventure Group is based at Cougar Mountain, which is only a few minutes away from Whistler Village. The entire tour takes several hours and you go through four different ziplines.
One of the unique features of Superfly Ziplines is the parallel lines, which allows pairs to fly at the same time. This was perfect for an adventure with my mom for Mother’s Day. We both got to cross something off of our bucket list together.
You can see a short video that I took of us soaring through the sky! It was scary, but because the view was so amazing you didn’t really notice. I expect that all the adrenaline helped, too!
The first of the four ziplines is the highest zipline in Canada. Eek…that is quite the way to start! I was expecting to start with a “beginner” zipline. The second zipline was the longest zipline in Canada which spans 1.3 km. The third zipline was called the Godzilla, and this one was so scary! Godzilla starts off with a really steep drop, and we both felt our stomachs leap on this one. For the last line of the day we were were flying close enough to hold hands if we wanted to, which was a great way to finish off the adventure. In all, it was an amazing experience that we will definitely remember for the rest of our lives.
If you follow SuperFlyZiplines on Facebook, you can see when promotions or contests come up! The Adventure Group offers many activities such as bungee jumping, river rafting and a treetop climbing adventure. They also have combinations of adventurous activities such as snowmobiling and ziplining at reduced rates. There is definitely something for everyone.
When we were in Whistler, we took the chairlift up Blackcomb Mountain to take in the amazing views. It was so fun, but chilly, since there is still plenty of snow for skiing.
Evolution Whistler is a great place to stay, especially for an active vacation. There is a great sized full kitchen, mudroom, double fireplace, balcony, huge bathroom and in suite laundry. It is just as cozy (or maybe even cozier) than home!
Evolution Whistler has a pool, hot tub, steam room and fitness room. There is also a large patio area overlooking Whistler Mountain with sun chairs and a BBQ for grilling.
