The Rest of the World is Asleep

I have probably told you way too many times that I live in the most beautiful place.  I am lucky that it is easy to escape and and enjoy the outdoors whenever I want. With work, school and all the other activities we all have, sometimes it can be hard to squeeze some downtime in.  I have found that waking early, not only gives me more hours in the day, but also allows me to fit in some extras…like getting outside with a warm drink to enjoy the sunrise.

It’s really simple…just pack a hot drink and head out. Tea (specifically English Breakfast) is my drink of choice first thing in the morning.  🙂 This CamelBak Forge® Divide insulated travel mug is perfect to take with you and let’s you easily skip picking up a drink with a disposable cup. My mom is an engineer and has worked at landfills during her career…she has always drove home the message of reducing waste (even before it was a “thing”).

The nice thing is that the CamelBak Forge® Divide insulated travel mug lasts a lifetime and comes with the #GotYourBak Lifetime Guarantee that covers it from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product.  That is pretty awesome.  Another thing I love is that it is leakproof, so you can throw it in your backpack and not worry at all.

Make sure you wear some layers this time of year, because it can be chilly! It doesn’t have to be too cold before you find me digging out my beanies. I love wearing them!

Wake up an hour early to live an hour more.

Clinging to the last shred of the early morning.  That tiny space of time when no one speaks. Nobody needs. Nothing stirs. Just me and my coffee and thoughts.

Other mornings I may just read, sit out on the deck, go for a walk with the dog or just make an amazing breakfast (since I love to cook…and eat!). Are you an early riser, too? What do you like to do with the extra time?

A special thanks to Zack Melhus for the early morning wake-up and for taking these killer photos!  🙂

Have a great Monday, friends!  I can’t believe it is already October.
