Recently I went on a surprise adventure with TELUS and LG to the Horne Lake Caves outside Nanaimo, BC. I was excited to visit a new destination and explore the fascinating realm beyond the surface at the Horne Lake Caves.
Like most of you, I don’t go anywhere without a smartphone. TELUS gave me a new LG G6 and I brought it on the trip to test it out.
We first started the day off by heading to the Helijet to fly to Nanaimo. It was honestly such a smooth ride and a heck of a lot quicker then taking the ferry.
Horne Lake Caves
I had never been to the Horne Lake Caves, so I was excited to see them. I don’t really like small spaces, so I was a little worried. Take a look at the video below to see inside the caves. As you can imagine, they were dark and wet but had all these amazing formations inside. Definitely glad I got there.
The Horne Lake Caves Provincial Park is a provincial park on Vancouver Island in British Columbia. They have year-round guided cave tours available.

Testing out the LG G6
Now lets get into the LG G6! TELUS, which has the largest and fastest Network in Canada, actually provides free one on one training sessions for those looking for extra help with their new phone. You can find more about this at telus.com/learn. The personal touch really makes a difference and I was able to learn about all of the features of this new phone.
I am not joking when I say the LG G6 takes killer pictures! It has wide angle lenses on the front and rear cameras, which helps to get those awesome photos! Did you see in the video that it is water resistant with no need for a special case? That is perfect for those that are outdoors a lot.
Another great feature that I like about the the LG G6 is the themes that you can add to the screen and all the fun ways you can make the dashboard of your phone your own!
Have you ever been to the Horne Lake Caves?
