Boozy Bailey’s Snake Den Dirt Cups FAQs
Absolutely, just make sure it’s whipped to stiff peaks so it holds up in the pudding.
There are plenty of recipes you can use nut, soy or rice milk in, but for this one it’s best to stick with full-fat dairy milk. The reason for this is alcohol already makes the pudding more runny (the same reason you can’t add too much of it to jello desserts) and a water-based milk alternative would turn this dirt dessert into a dirt drink!
Boozy Bailey’s Snake Den Dirt Cups Recipe
Boozy Dirt Cups
Ingredients
- 1 Box instant chocolate pudding, 3.9-Ounce
- ¾ Cup whole milk, cold
- ½ Cup Irish Cream, such as Bailey’s Original Irish Cream, chilled
- 4 Ounces Cool Whip
- 18 Oreo cookies, crushed
- 12 gummy snakes, Haribo Rattlesnakes Gummi Candy or similar
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, add instant chocolate pudding, milk and Irish Cream. Whisk for 2 minutes. Gently whip in the Cool Whip until completely incorporated.
- Spoon 4 tablespoons of the pudding mixture into the bottom of a 5-ounce glass. On top of the first pudding layer, add 2 tablespoons of the crushed Oreos. Add another 4-tablespoon layer of the pudding.
- Place a gummy snake on top of this pudding layer, draping its head portion over the side of the glass. Then, add another 2-tablespoon layer of the Oreo crumbs so it appears that the gummy snake is partially buried.
- Top with 1 or 2 more gummy snakes. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Notes
Crush cookies finely: A finer texture looks more like dirt and layers better.
Serve in clear cups: Glasses or clear plastic cups show off the fun layers and colors.

Could I use vanilla or cheesecake pudding and color it green?
Sure, I don’t see why not. The color of the Baileys is very light so that shouldn’t affect the green color. Let me know how it comes out!
Will do!
I’d think I could use creme de menthe??
Sure! I bet they’d be good with some mint flavor. I’d swap maybe a third or a quarter of the Bailey’s for Creme de Menthe since it’s quite a strong flavor. But if you love it, then I guess you could swap all the Bailey’s for Creme de Menthe.
This recipe is the bomb! So flavorful and easy to prepare! Absolutely my new fave. 🙂
Totally making these! so cute
