TikTok Pasta Ingredients

A complete list of ingredients and amounts can be found in the recipe card below.

Pasta: I used cavatappi pasta also known as corkscrew pasta. This baked feta pasta would work with pretty much any pasta shapes.
Feta cheese: A block of feta cheese in the middle of the baking dish is another key component in this TikTok pasta with a creamy sauce. A feta block is widely available in most places, but if you have a choice, choose real Greek feta. It’s just creamier and tangier than other kinds, and will do justice to this viral feta pasta dish. Do you prefer goat cheese? Use that instead.
Cherry tomatoes: Cherry or grape tomatoes add sweetness and a pop of vibrant color.
Olive oil: Choose a good quality olive oil because you’ll taste it in the finished dish. Use plenty of it as well. I can tell you firsthand neither the Italians nor the Greeks are shy about using plenty of extra virgin olive oil!
Fresh basil and parsley: To add fresh, aromatic flavors. Throw in some fresh oregano too if you like.

Roast the tomatoes and feta: Put the cherry tomatoes in a casserole dish, add the block of feta in the middle and add oregano, salt and pepper on top. Add olive oil and toss to coat the tomatoes. Bake for 40 minutes.
Prepare the pasta: While the tomatoes and feta are roasting, cook the pasta in salted water to al dente. Drain it, saving some of the pasta water.
Mash the tomato mixture: Mash the bursting cherry tomatoes and feta and add chopped garlic. Add pasta water to the flavorful sauce if it’s too thick.
The finishing touches: Add fresh pasta, along with the fresh basil leaves and parsley. Stir to combine and serve warm.

Substitutions and Variations

Gluten-free option: If you want a gluten-free version, use gluten-free pasta.
A different pasta: Anything goes, so you might want to try macaroni, rotini, penne, bowtie pasta shapes or another kind. Remember that different pasta shapes have different cooking times depending on shape and size.
Optional additions: Feel free to add some pitted black olives, another ingredient popular in both Greek and Italian cooking. Parmesan cheese, fresh spinach or even some minced red onion make a tasty addition.
Add wine: This dish is also good with a splash of white wine added to the tomatoes and feta before baking in the casserole dish. Choose from Italian or Greek wine. This is a fusion dish so either works!
Seasonings: Throw in some red pepper flakes or even some Italian seasoning if liked.

This is by far my favorite tik tok recipe! I usually use it as a side dish, but I’ve also added grilled chicken breast to it to make a meal served with salad. I make this at least once a month. This is one of the few recipes that I don’t alter.

The creaminess from the feta, combined with the slightly sweet/slightly acidic notes from the cherry tomatoes makes this a top tier pasta dish!

Such a lovely and easy recipe! I used Roma tomatoes, as I did not have the cherry variety, and it turned out beautiful!
