Slow Cooker Kielbasa, Cabbage and Potatoes Ingredients

A complete list of ingredients and amounts can be found in the recipe card below.

Kielbasa sausage: Smoky and savory, it flavors the entire dish as it simmers. Kielbasa is actually the Polish word for sausage. You can get it cured, dried or fresh, smoked or unsmoked. Ingredients such as juniper, marjoram and garlic are popular while the sausage itself can be made from veal, pork or mixed meats.
Fingerling potatoes: Creamy and tender, they hold their shape well in the slow cooker. Fingerlings are short, small potatoes. They come in different colors and sizes. They’re waxy with thin skins and they have a mild taste.
Yellow onion: Adds sweetness and soft texture.
Cabbage: Becomes tender and soaks up all the rich broth.
Garlic: Provides aromatic depth.
Sundried tomato paste: Intensifies the tomato flavor and adds umami.
Fire-roasted tomatoes: Bring a smoky edge and rich acidity.
Chicken stock: Forms the base of the savory broth.
Salted butter: Finishes the dish with added richness.
Cajun seasoning: Adds a mild kick and Southern-inspired flavor.
