I don’t really know anyone that hasn’t experienced stress. Lately I have been extra stressed due to unexpected changes in my health, keeping up with work and not feeling good. Here are seven things that I am going to try to keep up with that I hope can help to reduce stress and get me back to my regular frame of mind. These are my favourite tips and easy ways to reduce stress.
Get a Quiet Start to the Day
Start a morning routine and stick to it. Getting up a bit earlier will allow you to eat a good breakfast and relax a bit. Starting your day at your best will help keep stress under control. I am a foodie, so I love eating breakfast and having coffee or tea.
Eat Healthy
You need to eat healthy to be healthy. A diet containing a lot of fruits, vegetables and lean protein works well for me. If you’re struggling to get the recommended servings of fruit and vegetables each day, try juicing them. I find when I am super busy I don’t eat as well as I should it really effects me in a negative way.
Stay Hydrated
I have read that you should aim for drinking eight glasses of water daily. Drinking an adequate amount of water is essential to staying healthy inside and out. Tired of drinking water? Try adding berries and fruit to your water to naturally flavour it. It also looks pretty, too! Don’t forget to bring water with you when you are out.
Set Realistic Daily Goals
Don’t set yourself up for failure by trying to accomplish too much. Set daily goals that are realistic and do them. Don’t keep forwarding tasks to the next day because that will only add more stress. Keeping on top of things is good!

Take Time for Yourself
Sometimes non-stop activity only makes your stress worse. It is important to be mindful that you need to take time for yourself. Sometimes it may just be sitting for 20 minutes and reading a book or listening to some of your favourite music. A bath is a luxury for me and I find that it is the ultimate “me time” activity. What is a bath without bubbles though!?! This has to be one of my favourite easy ways to reduce stress.
The new line of body washes by Caress are my current favourite to use in the shower and bath. They leave your skin so soft (and don’t irritate my sensitive skin) and the irresistible scents aren’t overwhelming for me.
The scents of the body washes from Caress are amazing! There is nothing like a heavenly scent to help you escape.

Stay Active
Physical activity is essential to health. Exercise regularly to stay fit, boost your immune system function, decrease your stress level and keep your weight down. Always try to add at least a half hour of exercise to your day even if you are really busy. You will be glad you did. There are many ways that you can exercise more, for example that might just mean you go to the gym more, or you could start doing something completely different like tennis. Whatever suits you best is what you should try.
Get Enough Sleep
Getting about eight hours of sleep every night is essential for avoiding dark circles under the eyes and it is also essential to keeping healthy and managing stress. Don’t neglect sleep!

These are all great ways to reduce stress! I try to eat mostly fruit, veggies and lean protein. I feel much better when I eat right and exercise.
Such great tips and you are so right that you do have to exercise and eat right and I definitely try and do this myself. I also try and stay physically active though at times I get off my routine… 🙁
Wonderful tips and ideas. Soaking in a long bath with a good book always helps or going for a long walk. Eating healthy is always part of less stress.
It may seem simple but not eating breakfast and drinking enough water are two of the most common ways people get their bodies out of wack. I’m bad at both of those myself. Nice reminders of things we should try to do everyday.
Such awesome tips! Totally going to try these!

This is a fantastic list. The one I never do is take a bath. I do love a good bubble bath but I cant seem to want to sit for 20 minutes. That said, my daughter is going away and I am GOING to indulge and just relax.

You do look absolutely amazing. You look like you have found some ways to deal with your health issues. I am glad. Pain is such an awful thing and having health problems is equally awful.
These are all great tips for starting the day right. I usually wake up an hour or two earlier before every one else. This gives me time to stare at the wall. LOL. Seriously, I love the quiet mornings. It gives me time to reflect, to pray, and to give thanks for a new day.
Exercise and taking time for myself are key for me! Your bubble bath looks amazing!
I definitely try to reduce stress by getting enough sleep. I know how cranky or bad my day will be with a lack of sleep.
The best way for me to de-stress is to soak in the tub. I really mean a good, long soak in the tub. I can actually feel my mind and body relax. I feel so much better after that.
yessss- anytime I’m stressed i try to take some time for myself (usually reading a book in the bath) and it works wonders!
I love Caress. They’ve always been one of my favorite brands. I’m terrible at getting up earlier than I need to haha
