As you know, I’ve been living with Type 1 diabetes for 2 years and I’ve always made it a point to be an advocate for diabetes awareness. I post often on my social media about my life with diabetes, my struggles, victories and more.
I am excited to share a Type 1 diabetes Q&A video that I put together with Roche Diabetes Care, featuring the Accu-Chek Guide system, which I’ve talked about in the past. I am joined in the video by a nurse, who answers questions that I was sent from followers on Instagram.
Before I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, I didn’t really know anything about the condition. Even though it’s been 2 years, I’m still learning, and I’ve learned that I’m not alone in my struggles with diabetes and that there are ways to ease diabetes management. Check out the video to learn about the mySugr App, which is a great tool for diabetes management.

I’m so glad you created this video and post. Unfortunately I think many young people with Type 1 Diabetes feel shy or even ashamed about having the condition, but that’s so unnecessary. I love that you’re educating folks and showing that it’s just a part of you!
