How to Store Vampire Kiss Shooters

Store: These are best served fresh, as soon as the black dye mixture has sunk to the bottom of the vials and they’ve been chilled. Leftovers can be kept refrigerated in the sealed vials for a couple of days though. If you’re prepping these ahead, prepare the black mixture first but wait until you’re ready to serve before combining it with the other ingredients.
Freeze: I haven’t tried freezing these.

Vampire Kiss Shots FAQs

How do I get the swirl effect in the vial?

Squeeze the black syrup in a circular motion into the red mix for artistic streaks. Using squeeze bottles makes it easy.

Can I use red food dye instead of daiquiri mixer?

No, the mixer adds flavor, while dye only affects color. Stick with the mixer.

Do I need a special type of vial?

Use food-safe glass vials that can stand upright and are easy to seal with corks. I used these vials! Another option is fake blood bags, using the tube as a straw for sipping!

  1. Can you make these if it’s not Halloween (asking for a friend!) They’re too good to save for then.

Just kidding, I just love Halloween! I just had to try these, being a massive strawberry fan and I used Malibu instead of regular rum because that’s what I had in the cupboard.

They were tropical and really nice. If you make these in test tubes make sure you push the corks in tight so none spills out (and don’t serve them anywhere near a light colored rug!) If you don’t have corks, you can buy these stands to stand the shooters up in.
