Course: Appetizer
Cuisine: Mexican
Keyword: Dip
Servings: 8
- 1 mango fresh
- 1 bell pepper green
- 1/2 red onion small
- 1 red pepper medium hot
- 2 Tablespoons cilantro fresh and chopped
- 1 juiced lime
- 1 Teaspoon honey
- salt and pepper to taste
Peel and clean the onion, mango, bell peppers and cut into small cubes.
De-seed the red peppers and cut into small rings.
Mix together with the cilantro, lime juice and honey and add salt and pepper to taste if needed.
Let the mango salsa rest for a couple of minutes so the flavors come together and meld nicely.
Note 1: You can use any color. But the green ones are a bit less sweet and add a nice contrast to the sweetness of the mango.
If you don´t feel like chopping everything into small cubes you can let your food processor help. It will be less chunky and more like a chutney but still very tasty. Just clean everything, roughly chop it and shred a couple of time on pulse.
