Delicious Christmas Chocolate Cake Martini Cocktail

A Christmas chocolate cake martini cocktail is like a tasty festive beverage. This chocolate cocktail is a Christmas party mixed drink with just a few ingredients. If you are a fan of milk, Nutella and cake flavoured vodka, you will love this boozy holiday drink.

Course: Drinks
Cuisine: American
Keyword: Christmas, cocktail, Nutella
Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • 1/4 Cup chocolate-hazelnut spread such as Nutella, plus extra for garnish
  • 1/2 Cup vodka cake-flavored such as Pinnacle Cake Vodka, chilled
  • 1 Cup whole milk cold
  • 1 Pinch salt
  • chocolate cake slices cut with a round cookie cutter and halved, for garnish - optional
  • Christmas sprinkles for garnish - optional

Instructions

  • In the pitcher of a blender (or cup of an immersion blender), add chocolate-hazelnut spread, cake vodka, and milk. Blend until combined. Add a pinch of salt and blend once more.  Pour into an 8-ounce glass.
  • Top each glass with a chocolate cake cutout. Pipe chocolate-hazelnut spread onto each cake slice and finish with some festive sprinkles.

Notes

Although you can bake your own loaf cake, one of the things that makes this cocktail so easy is being able to use a store-bought garnish and make it look homemade. I picked up a sliced chocolate loaf cake and used a 2¾-inch round cookie cutter to make cake circles that would fit nicely resting on the mouth of my glass. Then, I cut them into half-circles with a knife to make room for my straws. Using a piping bag and a star decorating tip (I used this one) makes it easy to add the chocolate-hazelnut spread to the top of the cake. Then, top it all off with holiday sprinkles like a mix of these here.

You can store the prepared Chocolate Christmas Cake Cocktail in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Make sure to give it a good shake before serving as it will begin to separate.
