This authentic Greek lemon chicken soup is so easy to make this slow cooker soup! If you are looking for a recipe for chicken Avgolemono soup, this is one to try!

  • 4 Chicken breasts boneless, skinless
  • 6 Cups chicken broth
  • 1 Tsp. sea salt
  • 1 Tsp. ground black pepper
  • 2 Tsp. tumeric
  • 1 white onion sliced
  • 4 Cloves garlic minced
  • 2 carrots peeled and diced
  • 16 Oz. pasta I used Ditallini
  • 3 Cups spinach
  • 2 lemons juiced
  • 3 Tbsp. dill fresh


  • Place chicken in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Add sliced onion, carrots, garlic, salt, pepper, turmeric, and juice from 1 lemon into the slow cooker. 
  • Pour in the chicken broth. Cover, and cook on high for 2 hours.
  • Shred the chicken and return it to the crock pot.
  • Add Ditallini, spinach, juice from 1 lemon, and the dill.
  • Stir and cover. Cook for 30 minutes. Serve warm and garnish with dill and lemon slices.
