Chocolate Loaf Bread

Everyone is going to love this delicious, sweet bread recipe. Chocolate loaf bread is simple to make and ideal to satisfy any chocolate cravings.

  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
  • Grease a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan and set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.
  • Add ½ cup of the mini chocolate chips. Mix so they are coated with the dry mixture. Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk the oil and eggs.
  • Add the granulated sugar and mix well.
  • Add half of the dry mixture to the egg mixture. Mix until all ingredients are incorporated.
  • Add the milk and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  • Add the remaining dry mixture. Mix until all the flour is incorporated. DON’T OVERMIX!
  • Add the water and mix until incorporate incorporated.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
  • Sprinkle the remaining ¼ cup of chocolate chips on top of the batter, don’t mix.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes or until the toothpick is free of batter when inserted in the middle.
