Ingredients

Instructions

  • Add the butter, chocolate chips, and peanut butter to a large mixing bowl. Microwave the ingredients on 30 second intervals until completely melted. Stir the mixture after each 30 second interval.
  • Fold in the rice cereal, ensuring it is evenly coated in the chocolate peanut butter mixture.
  • Spread half of the mixture out in an 8-inch square pan and then top the mixture with the peanut butter cups.
  • Spread the remaining cereal mixture over the peanut butter cups.
  • Chill your peanut butter crunch bars in the fridge for an hour or until firm to the touch. Slice and serve.

Notes

Even coating: Make sure your cereal is evenly coated in the chocolate mixture. You don’t want any large pockets of just melted chocolate in your bars, otherwise they’ll be difficult to slice through.
Make them nonstick: You don’t have to worry about coating your pan in nonstick spray. If you want to make them easier to remove, then you can line the dish with wax paper or parchment paper.
Extra pretty: Chop some peanut butter cups up and sprinkle them over the top of your bars.
