Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ Cup Greek yogurt plain, or sour cream
  • 2 Pounds green grapes seedless, stems removed
  • 2 Pounds red grapes seedless, stems removed
  • 8 Ounces cream cheese at room temperature
  • ¾ Cup pecans chopped
  • ½ Cup white sugar
  • ¼ Cup brown sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Discard the grape stems, then wash and dry well. Put them in a large bowl.
  • Beat the Greek yogurt or sour cream with the granulated sugar and vanilla in a large bowl using an electric mixer.
  • Pour this mixture over the grapes and use a rubber spatula to gently combine.
  • Mix together the pecans and brown sugar and add half of this mixture to the grape salad.
  • Cover and chill overnight, or for at least an hour, so the flavors can meld. You can skip this step if you want to serve it immediately.
  • Sprinkle the remaining pecan brown sugar mixture on top just before serving.

Notes

Soften the cream cheese: Let it sit at room temperature before mixing to ensure a smooth texture.
Dry the grapes thoroughly: This helps the creamy mixture stick better and avoids watering it down.
Slice grapes only if serving immediately: Halved grapes release more juice, which can thin the salad over time. Use whole grapes if not serving this the same day.
Toast the nuts: Toasted pecans are more flavorful, so give them a few minutes in a dry skillet, shaking often, to toast them.
