Ingredients

  • 2 Cups ham cooked, chopped
  • 2 Cans crescent rolls
  • 8 Ounces cheddar cheese shredded
  • 2 Cups broccoli florets
  • 1 Pinch salt
  • 1 Pinch black pepper
  • chives chopped, optional garnish
  • nonstick cooking spray as needed

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Shred cheese into a large mixing bowl.
  • Roughly chop the ham and broccoli and combine with cheese. Try to chop until the pieces are no larger than your thumbnail.
  • Unroll and separate the crescent rolls into pre-cut individual triangles.
  • Lightly spray a muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Place the crescent rolls into each muffin tin with 2 points of the triangle out of each tin
  • Add 3 tablespoons of the ham and broccoli mix to each. Take the longest point of the crescent roll and wrap over the stuffing and tuck under. Then, take the shorter point and fold over the center.
  • Sprinkle the tops of the dough with a pinch of salt and pepper and place onto the center rack of the oven.
  • Bake at 375 degrees F for 15 minutes.

Notes

Shred your own cheese: Because pre-shredded cheese contains starch or other ingredients to keep the shreds from sticking to each other, it's best to shred your own from a block. It will melt better and taste better too.
Chopping your ingredients: You can chop the ham and broccoli roughly, into bite-sized pieces. Evenly sized pieces will cook evenly.
Check for doneness: Once the dough is golden brown, these are done. The ham is already cooked, the cheese just has to melt and the broccoli doesn't take long to cook through.
