Ingredients

  • 1 Pound tater tots frozen
  • 1 Cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • ¼ Cup guacamole
  • ¼ Cup sour cream
  • ½ Cup nacho cheese sauce
  • ½ Cup tomatoes fresh, diced
  • 4 or 5 Slices bacon cooked and chopped or crumbled
  • 2 Tablespoons green onions chopped
  • 1 jalapeno thinly sliced

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Spread the frozen tater tots evenly across the baking sheet.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, flipping halfway through with tongs, until they are golden and crispy.
  • Once the tater tots are done, remove them from the oven and top evenly with the shredded cheese.
  • Turn on the broiler and broil for 1 or 2 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Dot the melted cheese with guacamole, sour cream and nacho cheese.
  • Top with diced tomatoes, bacon, green onions, and jalapeno slices.
  • Serve immediately while hot.

Notes

Watch the tater tots: Keep an eye on them during cooking - they need to be crispy not burned.
Don't skip the parchment paper: You don't want your delicious tachos sticking to the bacon sheet.
Offer more toppings on the side: Extra sauces and toppings can be offered on the side so people can add their own.
Serve right away: Letting these sit out makes them go soggy! So, only make as much as you're going to eat and it's best to serve them as soon as they're ready.
