Equipment

Ingredients

  • 60 pretzels waffle-shaped
  • 60 chocolates Hershey Hugs, unwrapped
  • 60 chocolate candies pastel-colored M&M’s

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 200 degrees F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place the pretzels on the prepared baking sheet and top each pretzel with a hugs candy.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 5 minutes or until the hugs are shiny and melted.
  • Remove from the oven and place an M&M on top of each melted hugs candy, pressing down into place.
  • Allow the chocolate to cool and set before serving.

Notes

Use regular waffle snap pretzels: These work better than the butter ones. You can also use twist pretzels although the chocolate candy will spill over the sides a little.
Get the oven temperature right: 200 degrees F is enough to melt the Hershey's hugs in a few minutes. If it's any hotter the outside of the chocolate candy will melt quickly and the inside won't.
Set them fast: Pop the finished spring flower pretzel bites in the refrigerator for 10 minutes and they'll set quickly.
