Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup strawberry daiquiri mixer
  • 1 Cup white rum
  • ¼ Cup simple syrup
  • ¼ Teaspoon gel food dye black

Instructions

  • Combine the daiquiri mix and white rum in a pourable measuring cup and mix well.
  • Combine the simple syrup and black dye in a squeeze bottle and stir or shake until fully combined.
  • Pour About 1 ½ ounces of the red mixture into each vial.
  • Squeeze about 1 teaspoon of the simple syrup mixture into each vial.
  • Let sit for about 10 minutes so the black settles to the bottom.
  • Serve immediately or chill the vials first.

Notes

Seal them tight: Push corks in firmly to stop leaks.
Let the black settle: Waiting 10 minutes creates a cool layered effect.
Chill before serving: These taste best when cold.
Use steady surfaces: Keep vials on flat, secure tables so they don’t tip.
