Iced Brown Sugar Oat Milk Shaken Espresso

Ingredients

Brown Sugar Simple Syrup

Shaken Espresso

  • 1 Shot espresso
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar simple syrup
  • 1/2 Cup oat milk
  • 2 Cups  ice

Instructions

  • Prepare the brown sugar syrup. In a small pot over medium heat combine the water, brown sugar, vanilla, and the cinnamon stick.
  • Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 5minutes until the sugar has dissolved and thickened. Remove from heat and transfer to a mason jar.
  • Once you are ready to prepare the latte, fill a shaker with 1 cup ice. Add the espresso and the brown sugar simple syrup and vigorously shake.
  • Fill a glass with the remaining 1 cup ice and pour the iced coffee over it. Top with the milk and serve.

Notes

  1. You can store the brown sugar syrup for up to a week refrigerated.
  2. Feel free to use any milk you want. This works great with any plant based milk or traditional milk.
