Ingredients

Instructions

  • Wash and dry the sweet potatoes. Cut the ends off and then cut them in half longways and then into wedges.
  • Place the sweet potatoes into a bowl with 1 tablespoon avocado oil. Toss until well coated.
  • To the bowl add the cornstarch, salt, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, and red pepper flakes. Toss to mix thoroughly.
  • Grease the bottom of the air fryer with a pastry brush.
  • Arrange the sweet potatoes evenly in the air fryer.
  • Use the pastry brush to dab oil over the sweet potatoes.
  • Cook at 400°F for 8 minutes. Flip the wedges over. Dab more oil on the potatoes.
  • Cook for an additional 7 to 9 minutes or until tender and crispy. If you have 2 racks in your air fryer, it might take a bit longer.
  • Sprinkle the parsley on top and serve.

Notes

Cut evenly: Ensure sweet potato wedges are cut to a similar size for even cooking and crispiness.
Dry thoroughly: Pat the sweet potatoes dry before tossing them with oil to help them crisp up better.
Don’t overcrowd: Arrange the wedges in a single layer in the air fryer. Overcrowding can lead to uneven cooking and less crispiness.
Adjust for size: If your sweet potato wedges are larger or thicker, you may need to increase the cooking time slightly.
Watch closely: Keep an eye on the wedges during the last few minutes of cooking to avoid burning.
