Instructions

  • Use parchment paper to line an 11 x 15-inch baking sheet.
  • Arrange the banana slices on the baking sheet in a rectangular shape. Leave some space on the sides of your pan.
  • Microwave the peanut butter for 40 seconds on high, stopping to stir it halfway through.
  • Pour the melted peanut butter over your banana slices, keeping it closer to the middle and not on the outer edges of the rectangle.
  • Spread it evenly with a rubber spatula.
  • Put the baking sheet in the freezer for about half an hour.
  • Microwave the chocolate chips in a measuring cup for 2 minutes on high, stopping to stir every 30 seconds to stir. Continue until the mixture is completely smooth.
  • Take the baking sheet out of the freezer and pour the melted chocolate over the top, keeping it closer to the middle and not over the edges.
  • Use a clean rubber spatula to spread the melted chocolate over the bananas and peanut butter layers.
  • Sprinkle sea salt on top and freeze for another 20 to 30 minutes or until set.
  • Break the banana bark into pieces to serve.

Notes

Use good quality chocolate: The brand and quality of chocolate largely determines the outcome of the recipe. I used Ghirardelli and it came out really good.
Making the banana rectangle: You don't have to arrange the banana rectangular shape perfectly. As long as all the slices are touching, it's fine.
Keep the bark chilled: The bananas get dark and mushy if the bark is left out of the refrigerator for too long, so keep it refrigerated or frozen.
