Ingredients

For the Biscuits:

  • Cups Bisquick Original Pancake and Baking Mix
  • ½ Teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¾ Cup milk
  • 1 Cup mild cheddar cheese shredded

Optional Garlic Butter:

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  • Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

Make the Biscuit Dough:

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk the Bisquick, garlic powder and milk until combined and crumbly, using a Danish dough whisk.
  • Add the cheese and mix using your hands.

Bake the Biscuits:

  • Use a medium cookie scoop (1½-Tablespoon) and scoop the dough into balls.
  • Arrange on the prepared cookie sheet, leaving 1 inch between each biscuit.
  • Bake for 10 or 11 minutes or until the biscuits are golden.

Make the Garlic Butter:

  • While the biscuits are baking, combine the melted butter and garlic powder.
  • Brush the garlic butter over the baked biscuits while still hot.
  • Put them on a wire rack and then you can serve them still a little warm or cold.

Notes

Mixing the dough: Mix until the dough is crumbly before you add in the cheese.
Perfectly cooked: The biscuits are done when they're a light golden brown on top. In my oven they took 10 minutes exactly. They might take anywhere from 9 to 11 in yours, so keep an eye on them in there.
Garlic butter: If you don't want to make garlic butter sauce, it's optional but really good. It's best to pour it over the biscuits when you take them out of the oven so it can soak into the biscuits.
