Ingredients

For the Sliders:

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls or other slider buns/rolls
  • 12 eggs large
  • ½ Cup milk
  • ½ Teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ Teaspoon black pepper freshly cracked
  • 1 Tablespoon butter
  • 8 Slices ham deli honey ham
  • 8 Slices Swiss cheese bab
  • parsley chopped fresh, for garnish

For the Sauce:

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Slice all 12 rolls horizontally and put the bottom halves of the buns in a 9 x13-inch baking dish. Set aside.
  • Whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl until combined.
  • Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Pour eggs into skillet, and stir constantly, until eggs are scrambled and almost fully cooked. Remove from heat.
  • Place ham in an even layer over the bottom slider buns, top with scrambled eggs and a layer of cheese. Add the bun tops.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together melted butter, dried minced onion, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and poppy seeds. Brush butter mixture over the sliders evenly.
  • Cover baking dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes, them remove foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the buns are lightly toasted.

Notes

Batch make for freezer: You can easily double the recipe to 24 sliders and freeze them for a rainy day (or busy morning).
Choose fresh slider buns: This isn't the recipe to use up old, stale buns. Rather, turn those into breadcrumbs for your freezer.
Control egg texture: Stir eggs constantly while cooking to achieve creamy scrambled eggs with a soft texture.
Layer evenly for balance: Distribute ham, scrambled eggs, and cheese evenly across the slider buns.
