Slider buns/rolls: Use a pack of 12 for the perfect base for these mini sandwiches.
Large eggs: The hero ingredient!
Milk: Helps to make the scrambled eggs creamy and rich.
Butter: Used for cooking the eggs, adding richness, and preventing sticking. Don’t skimp!
Deli honey ham: Adds a sweet, savory element that pairs well with the eggs and cheese (I love this Virginia ham best or a nice rosemary ham!)
Baby Swiss cheese: Melts beautifully, with a creamy texture and mild flavor.
Dried minced onion: This is the secret to your savory breakfast sliders.

Top Tips

Batch make for freezer: You can easily double the recipe to 24 sliders and freeze them for a rainy day (or busy morning).
Choose fresh slider buns: This isn’t the recipe to use up old, stale buns. Rather, turn those into breadcrumbs for your freezer.
Control egg texture: Stir eggs constantly while cooking to achieve creamy scrambled eggs with a soft texture.
Layer evenly for balance: Distribute ham, scrambled eggs, and cheese evenly across the slider buns.

Easy Breakfast Sandwiches FAQs

Can I prepare breakfast sliders ahead of time?

Yes, you can assemble the sliders up to the point of baking them. Cover them tightly and refrigerate overnight. When ready to serve, bake as directed, adding a few extra minutes to account for cold ingredients. This is a great recipe for meal-prep or when making breakfast sliders for a crowd.

Can I freeze breakfast sliders?

Absolutely! After baking, let the sliders cool completely, then wrap them tightly in foil or plastic wrap and place them in a freezer-safe container. To reheat, thaw overnight in the refrigerator and warm in the oven at 350°F until heated through.

How do I keep breakfast sliders from getting soggy?

Make sure your scrambled eggs are fully cooked and not too runny. Additionally, brushing the sauce evenly over the sliders helps create a barrier that prevents excess moisture from soaking into the buns.
