Ingredients

Instructions

  • Use a sharp knife to cut your apple 4 or 5 times vertically to create 3 or 4 slices that are about ½ inch thick. Use the knife to poke a small hole in the bottom of each slice and then insert a popsicle stick.
  • Place your apple pops on a baking sheet lined with wax paper and freeze for 30 minutes.
  • After 30 minutes, melt your chocolate chips completely in the microwave and then dip the pops in the chocolate and place them back on the baking sheet.
  • Sprinkle chopped peanuts over the top of your apple pops and drizzle them with caramel sauce. Let them freeze for 1 more hour before serving.

Notes

Slicing the apples: You will get 3 or 4 slices from each apple. They need to be thick enough to hold the popsicle stick, so aim for at least ½-inch thick slices.
Try other toppings: Crushed Oreos, white chocolate drizzle and crushed toffee bits are just some ideas.
Adding a drizzle: It's easiest if you hold the apple pop over the melted chocolate and drizzle the chocolate over both sides using a spoon.
