Ingredients

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F
  • In a large mixing bowl, use an electric hand mixer to cream the butter and sugars on high speed until the sugar is dissolved.
  • Add the egg and whisk again, making sure the egg is fully incorporated with the butter mixture.
  • Gently whisk in the flour, baking powder and baking soda.
  • Once the wet and dry ingredients are fully combined, fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
  • Use a standard size cookie scoop to drop balls of cookie dough onto a baking sheet.
  • Bake your cookies for 11 minutes.
  • Let the cookies cool on the pan for a few minutes and then transfer them to a wire cooling rack to cool completely before serving.

Notes

Don’t overmix: Stops the cookies from becoming tough.
Chill the dough: Prevents spreading if the butter is too soft.
Use a cookie scoop: Ensures even-sized cookies for uniform baking.
Space them out: Space your cookies about an inch apart on prepared baking sheets to account for spreading as they bake.
