  • Spray a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Cut the butter into 8 squares.
  • Put the butter and marshmallows in an extra-large mixing bowl.
  • Microwave for 2½ minutes or until the marshmallows have risen almost to the top of your bowl.
  • Remove and stir until there are no more visible chunks of butter or marshmallow.
  • If there are still chunks after stirring, microwave it again in 10-second increments until smooth.
  • Add the Cinnamon Toast Crunch to the bowl immediately and stir to coat all the cereal.
  • Press the cereal and marshmallow mixture into the greased baking pan evenly.
  • Let the treats sit on the counter for an hour or until set, then slice and serve.

Notes

Don't skip the greasing: Spraying your baking dish with nonstick spray ensures the bars don't stick and break apart when you try to remove them.
Work quickly: As soon as you take the melted marshmallow mixture out of the microwave, it starts to set, so work fast when pressing the mixture into your prepared pan.
No extra-large mixing bowl? Just make half the recipe and let the bars set, then make the other half and layer on top of a sheet of parchment paper on top of the first batch.
