Servings: 4 trees

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 64 Ferrero Rocher chocolates
  • 4 paper mache cones 4-inch
  • red ribbon

Instructions

  • Preheat the hot glue gun.
  • Keep all of the Ferrero Rocher chocolates in their wrappers and paper cups. If any of the candies feel like they are loose and coming off of the paper cup, lightly glue them back into the paper cups.
  • Apply a dot of hot glue to the bottom side of a Ferrero Rocher. Adhere the candy to the base of the tree form.
  • Continue gluing the chocolates around the tree form eventually working your way up to the top. You'll use 16 chocolates per tree.
  • For the candy that goes on the very top, use a skewer to poke a small hole in the bottom of the candy. Add a little circle of hot glue around the outside of that hole. Place the candy on the pointy tip of the tree form, pressing down as far as needed.
  • Create a bow with the red ribbon. Add a small dot of glue on the back of the bow and adhere to the top of the candy tree.

Notes

Test the anchor: Push a toothpick in at a slight upward angle for a firm hold.
Mind the spacing: Stagger candies like bricks to avoid visible seams.
Count before you start: Estimate by dry fitting one full row, then multiply by row count.
Protect the wrappers: Handle at the paper tab to keep the gold foil pristine.
