Ingredients

Instructions

  • Line a 9 x 13-inch rimmed pan with parchment paper. Remove the caramels from the wrappers and use your fingers to flatten them out. Top each Nilla wafer with a caramel and arrange them on the prepared pan.
  • Melt the chocolate chips in a bowl in the microwave. Heat the chocolate for 30 seconds at a time, stirring after each interval, until the chocolate has melted completely.
  • Once the chocolate is melted and smooth, use a fork to dip each Twix bite in the chocolate and then return them to the pan.
  • Let your Twix bites chill in the fridge for an hour, or until the chocolate is set.

Notes

The right caramels: Make sure you grab the soft caramels and not the hard ones. They should be rectangular shaped.
Flattening the caramels: The caramels should be soft enough to work with straight from the package, but if you are having a hard time flattening them, heat them in the microwave briefly or in a 250°F oven. Don’t go any hotter than that though - you don’t want the caramel too hot to work with.
Let excess chocolate drip off: Let the excess chocolate drip off the Twix bites before putting them on the sheet pan so they look tidier.
Stop them sticking: Don’t skip the parchment paper or wax paper. If you don’t line your baking sheet, then the Twix bites will be much harder to remove and they might break.
