Ingredients

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine the matcha powder and ½ cup of hot water (140°F is best).
  • Using your matcha whisk, whisk the matcha and water together. Don’t whisk in a circular motion but in an up and down motion. You’re looking for tiny bubbles created in the matcha.
  • Mix lavender syrup into the oat milk using a milk frother.
  • Pour the prepared matcha into a glass with plenty of ice.
  • Top the matcha with frothed milk.
  • Sprinkle a tiny bit of matcha on top for a garnish and serve immediately.

Notes

Water temperature: Hot water at 140°F works best. Too cool and it won't dissolve the matcha, too hot and it will negatively affect the matcha taste.
Use a bamboo whisk: I prefer a bamboo whisk over a plastic whisk for matcha. It helps mix the matcha better and won't leave you with a grainy texture.
Use high quality matcha: For a great tasting matcha latte, it's important to use a high-quality matcha.
