Instructions

  • Divide the soy sauce, garlic powder and onion powder between 4 mason jars, and gently stir with a fork to combine.
  • Add the frozen vegetables directly on top of the seasoning mix in each jar.
  • Break ramen into pieces and place on top of the vegetables.
  • Add a chicken bouillon cube (or 1 teaspoon of bouillon powder) to each jar.
  • Sprinkle sliced green onions over the ramen. Do not mix.
  • Seal jars with lids and store them in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • When ready to serve, remove the lid and pour 1 ¼ Cups boiling water over the noodles.
  • Twist on the lid and gently shake to distribute the bouillon and water. Let sit for 5 minutes, undisturbed.
  • Remove the lid, stir well with chopsticks or a fork, until the bouillon is fully dissolved. Pour into a cup or bowl, or eat directly from the jar.

Notes

Use wide-mouth jars: It makes layering and eating this delicious meal even easier.
Break noodles if needed: Snap them smaller to fit into regular-mouth jars.
If using bouillon powder: If using this instead of a bouillon cube, add the powder to the bottom of the jars with the soy sauce and seasoning, and stir until dissolved.
If serving at home: If you plan on enjoying these for lunch at home, you can omit the bouillon and add boiling chicken broth when ready to serve.
Pour slowly: When adding boiling water, pour slowly to avoid overflow.
Shake gently: A gentle shake helps distribute the seasonings without making a mess.
Let it sit: When ready to serve, let the jar sit covered for at least 5 minutes after adding boiling water.
