How to Make DIY Instant Noodle Cups

Layer the seasoning: Divide soy sauce, garlic powder and onion powder between four mason jars (I used these jars and these lids!) and stir gently.
Add the vegetables: Layer the frozen vegetables on top of the seasoning mix.
Add noodles and bouillon: Break ramen into pieces and place over vegetables, then add bouillon.
Top with onions: Sprinkle sliced onions on top without mixing.
Seal and store: Secure lids and refrigerate jars upright until ready to eat.
Add hot water: Pour in boiling water, seal the jar, shake gently, and let the soup sit for 5 minutes.
Stir and enjoy: Remove the lid and stir until the bouillon is dissolved. Tip into a bowl or eat from the jar.

Substitutions and Variations

Gluten-free option: If you want a gluten-free ramen soup version, use your preferred gluten free noodles instead of the dried ramen noodles.

This mason jar noodle recipe is great for busy days, work lunches or cozy nights. With a few simple ingredients, you’ll have a quick meal ready anytime you want.

Ingredients 

  • 4 Teaspoons soy sauce
  • 2 Teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 Teaspoons onion powder
  • 2 Cups frozen mixed vegetables, carrots, corn, peas, green beans
  • 8 Ounces ramen, dry noodles
  • 4 Cubes chicken bouillon, or 4 Teaspoons chicken bouillon powder
  • 4 green onions, sliced

Instructions 

  • Divide the soy sauce, garlic powder and onion powder between 4 mason jars, and gently stir with a fork to combine.
  • Add the frozen vegetables directly on top of the seasoning mix in each jar.
  • Break ramen into pieces and place on top of the vegetables.
  • Add a chicken bouillon cube (or 1 teaspoon of bouillon powder) to each jar.
  • Sprinkle sliced green onions over the ramen. Do not mix.
  • Seal jars with lids and store them in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • When ready to serve, remove the lid and pour 1 ¼ Cups boiling water over the noodles.
  • Twist on the lid and gently shake to distribute the bouillon and water. Let sit for 5 minutes, undisturbed.
  • Remove the lid, stir well with chopsticks or a fork, until the bouillon is fully dissolved. Pour into a cup or bowl, or eat directly from the jar.
