No Churn Halloween Ice Cream

  • Combine the heavy cream and sweetened condensed milk in a large bowl and mix for about 2 minutes or until thickened, using a hand mixer. 
  • Add the cake mix and beat again until combined. 
  • Separate the milk mixture into 4 equal parts. In each bowl, place one color of the dye and stir until no color streaks remain.  
  • Alternate pouring portions of the various colors into a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan until all colors are finished. 
  • Top with the sprinkles.
  • Place in the freezer for 4 hours or until set.

Notes

Use gel food dye: Gel delivers stronger colours with less impact on texture.
Layer gently: Pour slowly to maintain clean line between colours.
Press sprinkles lightly: Press sprinkles into top layer so they stick before freezing.
Chill the bowl: A cold bowl helps whip the cream faster and more easily.
