Ingredients

Instructions

  • Melt the white candy wafers in the microwave on a low or defrost setting until smooth, stirring every 30 seconds. Let it cool a bit.
  • Use parchment paper to line a baking sheet.
  • Separate the round Nutter Butter cookies and place on top. Either scrape the peanut butter filling off or leave it on.
  • Now smear a bit of the white chocolate melts onto the round cookie and then add a peanut shaped Nutter Butter cookie on the lower half. Work quickly before the white chocolate sets.
  • Add 5 candy corns on top to be the feathers, keeping them close together. Press down gently into the white melts to help them stick. The round peanut butter cookie behind will help to hold the candy corn pieces up and make sure it’s level.
  • Use a small chopstick or the back of a skewer to dip into the melted white chocolate then add a little to the tops of the Nutter Butters to be the turkey's eyes.
  • Add 2 eyeballs and press down gently to help them stick in place.
  • Now dip the skewer into the white melts and then dab some underneath the eyes. Add a Reese’s Pieces half for the beak, pressing down gently to help it stick.
  • Pipe red cookie icing over one side of the beak for the snood or wattle.
  • Let the Nutter Butter turkey cookies set completely before serving. This will take 15 to 20 minutes at room temperature or you can refrigerate them for a quicker 5 to 10 minute setting time.

Notes

Let candy melts cool: It's important to give the candy melts time to cool a little, otherwise they'll be too runny.
Prep ahead: Prepare your ingredients and have everything ready before you start. You'll need to work quickly to stick the candy corn and candies to the cookies before the melted candy melts set.
Quicker setting: Let the cookies set in the refrigerator instead of on the countertop. This can halve the setting time.
