Ingredients

  • 4 Slices bread ½-inch thick
  • 1 Block cream cheese at room temperature
  • food coloring 4 different pastel colors
  • sprinkles colorful

Instructions

  • Place bread slices in toaster and toast to your liking.
  • Cut cream cheese into 4 equal pieces and place each piece into a bowl.
  • Add 1 or 2 drops of food coloring to each bowl of cream cheese and mix well. You will have 4 different colors of cream cheese.
  • With a butter knife, spread a small amount of each color of cream cheese (one at a time) on each piece of toast. You will have a stripe of each color on each piece of toast.
  • Top with sprinkles and serve immediately.

Notes

Get the color right: If you want a bolder shade, add more food coloring and mix again. Bear in mind it's easier to add more colur if needed than to add too much and end up with a shade that's too dark.
Serve it immediately: Easter rainbow unicorn toast is best served as soon as it's made while it's still hot.
Make it for other occasions: Try pink and red for a Valentine's Day take on this breakfast or snack for kids. Green would be great for St Patrick's Day. And then you have red and green for Christmas, orange and black for Halloween, or any other variations you can come up with.
