Ingredients

Instructions

  • Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Depending on how many Oreos spiders you make, you might need more than one baking tray.
  • Cut the Pocky sticks up to make the legs. You can slice off the exposed pretzel pieces and cut the Pocky sticks in half.
  • Separate the Oreos.
  • Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in the microwave on a low or defrost setting until smooth. Stir it every 30 seconds.
  • Now add 4 Pocky pieces on each side to be the legs.
  • Add some melted chocolate in the middle of each cookie, to stick the legs in place. Press the other cookie halves on top.
  • Next, add another separated Oreo piece on top.
  • Spread a little melted chocolate on top of the spider and stick on 2 candy eyes (or more if you want) to the lower part of the cookie. Repeat with the rest of the Oreos.
  • Leave them to set completely before serving, either at room temperature or in the refrigerator.

Notes

Have fun making these: Making spider Oreos is a great idea if you're looking for a fun activity for the kids to help out with. And, if not, you can have fun making this great treat!
Perfectly melted chocolate: Stir the chocolate at 30-second intervals so it doesn't scorch in one place or melt unevenly.
Let the spider Oreos set: It's important to let these set completely before serving. You can refrigerate them for half an hour to speed up the setting time.
