Cinnamon Dolce Syrup (Makes Enough for 6 Lattes): 

For the Cinnamon Dolce Latte: 

  • 2 Ounces hot espresso
  • 1 Ounce cinnamon dolce syrup recipe above
  • 1 Cup whole milk frothed and hot

Make the Cinnamon Dolce Syrup

  • To a small saucepan add granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, vanilla, and water. Stir together over medium-high heat and bring to a boil.
  • Once ingredients begin to boil, reduce heat and allow to simmer, stirring constantly, for about 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat. Immediately transfer to a sealable heat-proof container. 

Make the Cinnamon Dolce Latte

  • Into a heat-proof cup or mug, pour espresso, followed by cinnamon dolce syrup.
  • Pour frothed hot milk over espresso-syrup mixture.
  • Top with whipped cream, a sprinkle of ground cinnamon, and/or a cinnamon stick, if liked.   

Notes

Store extra syrup: Keep it sealed in the fridge for up to a week.
Use strong coffee if needed: If you don’t have espresso, use concentrated brewed coffee. You can use an espresso machine or just make your own with espresso powder.
Froth without tools: Shake heated milk in a jar or whisk vigorously if you don’t have a frother.
