Snow Day at the Capilano Suspension Bridge

The Capilano Suspension Bridge is an iconic Vancouver area attraction that is a must see for someone visiting the area. It is beautiful (and thrilling) year round. I had actually never been in the winter months and this year I happened to get there twice. Once was during the first snowfall of the season.

I actually doesn’t snow much here. I know many will think we get a lot of snow in Canada, but not typically where I live unless you are in the mountains. This year was not a typical year as we had many snowfalls and I think we had snow on the ground at my house for 2 whole months. Magically it snowed on Christmas Day and New Years Eve.

Ben and I went to the Capilano Suspension Bridge to see the lights and were not expecting snow. We managed to get some photos before they asked us to leave (for safely reasons due to the snow).

I managed to get to the park again a few weeks later. It was a cold day but the sun was out, so I was able to rock a sweater and we got to go to the tree top walk which was super cool and the lights were on so it was so pretty!

A huge thanks to my friend Jack McDermott for taking these great images.

Have a wonderful day!  I am looking forward to a few sunny days here this week…if the weather forecast is accurate. I definitely need some sunshine.
