Spring is so beautiful with all of the colourful flowers and blossoms. I always try to get to an event like the Abbotsford Tulip Festival each year because they make for good photos! The Abbotsford Tulip Festival has a whole 10 acres of tulips and it is just stunning! It is such a great way to celebrate spring on a sunny day.
There are a lot of opportunities for taking photos at the Tulip Festival, and long hours so that you can capture some sunrise or sunset lighting. We went for sunrise (mid-week) and it turned out to be a beautiful day. Weekends are usually really busy on the good weather days and not the best for photos unless you like a lot of random people in your photos.
Wear boots because it is a field and muddy. I know of several people that went there there with cute shoes or perfectly white shoes that ended up ruined. I have a photo showing the mud below but you can see it splattered all over my legs in some photos, too. My Sorel boots came in handy and I think they looked just fine with this dress.
Also, let’s all just take a minute and appreciate how awesome Thomas Bullock is for taking these killer photos! ❤ Clearly I had a hard time just picking a handful.
This dress is one of my favourites because it has pockets. Who doesn’t love a dress with pockets?!?
Have a great day! I have a doctors appointment and just working away to get stuff done. 🙂
This blog post is brought you in collaboration with The Abbotsford Tulip Festival who graciously let me and others in my group in to take photos free of charge. I love supporting my local community whenever possible and this is a wonderful event for the Fraser Valley.
