After a couple of fun but very busy days in Santa Monica we drove to San Diego. I had never been to San Diego before, so I was excited to get there finally. It was actually a pretty quick drive from LA. We drove in the evening which was probably a wise decision. Our first stop in San Diego was La Jolla, and we stayed at the La Jolla Cove Suites.
La Jolla Cove Suites
La Jolla Cove Suites is the place for a seriously rad time by the ocean in San Diego. This classic Cali hotel has everything you need for a fun vacation – amazing views, comfy rooms, and tons of fun activities. Chill on the huge rooftop deck, breathe in that ocean air, and explore the area with kayaking, snorkeling, and shopping at La Jolla Village. You won’t forget this trip – guaranteed!
The La Jolla Cove Suites the cutest coral pink hotel and it is seconds away from the beach! Such a great location. Our room had a views of La Jolla Cove, Ellen Browning Scripps Park, and the ocean.
I enjoyed going the pool area because the pool was a great temperature and the area was super cute to hang out in and just relax.I really wish I had more time to spend at the pool.
They had ping pong tables…which you know I am a huge fan of. I may not be good but I like playing lol! They also have fun colourful chairs set up everywhere, making it a great location to go with a group of friends.
Our suite had super cute decor and was super cozy. I loved looking outside at the ocean and the palm trees. I really wish I lived closer to palm trees! This hotel also had a free breakfast, which I always love.
When you wake up, you can go to the rooftop and enjoy the best breakfast with a stunning view. This was one of my favourite parts of the hotel. I love food…what can I say! The view in the morning is perfect and the ocean breeze is very refreshing.
Exploring the La Jolla Cove Area
No need for a vehicle at the La Jolla Cove Suites as there is so much to do and see within walking distance. You can walk 2 minutes and find some sea friends right on the rocks! The sea lions are there all the time and they are pretty cute. Don’t get too close because they may bite. However, they do smell pretty bad so that does keep you at a distance.
Walk another short distance and you can find this gorgeous view of the ocean. The beaches in San Diego are amazing. I wish I had spent more time at the beach there. Next trip!
With a great central location, it is a short walk or drive to plenty of places for treats or tea…cause you know I love treats!
Holy Matcha
Holy Matcha in is the most adorable cafe I have ever been to. The matcha lattes and matcha donuts are to die for!
If you are ever in San Diego, look at staying at the La Jolla Cove Suites.
