The Tour du Mont Blanc is one of the most popular treks in Europe. On this iconic hike, you are treated to pristine mountain scenery day after day. There are so many reasons why you should hike the Tour du Mont Blanc, but here are my 5 reasons.

1. Italy, Switzerland and France!
When you hike the Tour du Mont Blanc, you pass through Italy, Switzerland, and France ( Yes, that’s three countries!) as you make your way around the Mont Blanc massif. This in itself is one of the top reasons why you should hike the Tour du Mont Blanc.
The incredible thing about Tour du Mont Blanc is that you will hike through France, Italy, and Switzerland as you loop your way around the Mont Blanc Massif. G Adventures has two options for the Tour du Mont Blanc Trek to choose from. For me, it was the experience of a lifetime!
2. The Huts, Refuges & Rifugios
The huts on the Tour du Mont Blanc route are known as as refuges in France and Switzerland and rifugios in Italy. While you can camp out each night as you do this trek, there are also opportunities to stay in a hut with a cozy bed each night. The extra bonus is that these facilities also have the most amazing meals!
A special thank you to Brendan Williams for joining me on this trek and taking photos.
3. The Breathtaking Scenery
On this iconic trek you cover a distance of approximately 170 km and gain more than 10,000 meters of altitude. You get to see mountain peaks, wildflowers, meadows and breathtaking scenery in every direction. It is the views that keep you walking even when you are EXHAUSTED! The breathtaking scenery is another one of the top reasons why you should hike the Tour du Mont Blanc.
4. The Wildflowers
I went on my trek of Tour du Mont Blanc in the beginning of July and I was not expecting all the wildflowers. The beautiful hills an meadows filled with blooms were a pleasant surprise and reason why you should hike the Tour du Mont Blanc. It was just so beautiful!
The photos in this post are from my recent trek of Tour du Mont Blanc with G Adventures. The Tour du Mont Blanc is one of the most popular treks in Europe and I am so happy that I got to experience it!
5. The Mont Blanc Massif
The Tour de Mont Blanc circles the Mont Blanc (or Mont Bianco in Italy) Massif. Mont Blanc is the 11th highest mountain in the world and the trek trails take you on the mountains and hills surrounding it to give you the best view of the massif. It is impressive and breathtaking and most certainly THE reason why you should hike the Tour du Mont Blanc.
