Orlando is known for theme parks and good weather but there are also many outdoor activities to try in the area. While I was in Orlando, I went on hot air ballooning for the very first time. I wanted to share some tips about the amazing ride in this post.

We went hot air ballooning with Orlando Balloon Rides. It was an hour-long flight thousands of feet above the treetops. It provided a spectacular opportunity to enjoy sites around Orlando from orange groves to theme parks. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting it to be so breathtaking!

I recommend going at the earliest flight time which is at 5:30 am. The sunrise is so dreamy to experience while hot air ballooning. The views are amazing and it makes for great photos. On top of the it is super relaxing to just be floating in the air. I actually got to see someone get engaged which was so sweet.

A special thanks to Josh for joining me on this trip and taking my photos.

I would bring a snacks, a camera (obviously) and a jacket. Its kind of cold if you are on a flight in the morning. I wore a shorts and a tank top and I wasn’t very cold but others on the flight were freezing.

One of the best things about the hot air ballooning experience was the sweet humans that run it. They are so kind and caring, making the experience even better.

Have you ever went hot air ballooning?

  1. Beautiful pictures! And I’ve always wanted to do this, but I’d be afraid to look down.
