I recently had an opportunity to travel to Quebec to participate in a 2 day winter adventure event with Ford Canada. It was a jam packed event, so I have a lot to share. It was my first trip to Quebec, so it was fun to see Montreal and a bit of the countryside. On this trip I was able to experience some new winter activities, try out some of the new Ford vehicles and I got to meet other influencers that were attending the event from across Canada.

My friend Alicia also went to the event, so we traveled there together.  If you have time you should check out her post about the trip because she has the best vlog that you will want to watch. She has the cutest British accent and is a real hoot!  🙂

Our first day was a full travel day to get to Montreal, Quebec. Alicia and I arrived very late and stayed at a hotel at the airport. The winter adventure with Ford Canada began early the next day.

Winter Adventure with Ford Canada

Day 1

We all met at the hotel at the airport in the morning and got a partner, an itinerary and driving directions…and of course a Ford vehicle for the drive.  My partner for this Sydney Hoffman who is a blogger from Ontario. We got along just wonderfully and found that we both weren’t the best at directions and ended up taking the super scenic route to our first stop which was Les Rondins in Mirabel. It was a really cute sugar shack. There were animals, maple syrup and we had a delicious lunch.

The Ford Escape

We drove the Ford Escape, which I loved…and I wished that I could have brought it home with me. I love that it has a full sun roof (to see the beautiful blue sky), heated seats and that my phone connects so easily. It would be the perfect vehicle to get me out and about on my adventures. I also love that it has a lot of storage room in the back.

Esterel Resort

After lunch, we drove to the Esterel Resort in Quebec where we stayed for the night. The resort is located in the Laurentians and just so amazing. My room had a fireplace and was so spacious with a beautiful view of the lake and Nordic spa (hot pools). I am sure it would be equally wonderful in the summer.

This day was jam packed so we quickly changed into something warm and headed out to go snowmobiling in the forest around the resort. It was so much fun and a great way to get to know everyone that was attending the event.

Fun Winter Adventure

Next up on the winter adventure schedule in Quebec with Ford Canada was ice carving. We got to watch the instructor carve a dear (and make it look so incredibly easy), and then we were able to give it a try. We were carving hearts. It was not as easy as he made it look. I will not be a professional ice carver anytime soon!

Ice Carving

By this point I think we were all freezing so we went inside, changed and headed to dinner at the resort. The food was so good and served in a wine cellar. It was great to get a chance to chat with the other guests and I made many new friends.

At the end of the night we had huge bonfire and made smores.  The smore  combo that everyone loved was KitKat, caramel and marshmallow. It was legit the best smore I have ever had in my life.  🙂  We then checked out the Nordic spa and called it a night because we had another big day ahead.

Day 2

Mecaglisse Motorsport Complex

Day two with Ford Canada started early with a wonderful breakfast at the restaurant in the resort. From there we jumped in the Ford vehicles and made our way to the Mecaglisse Motorsport Complex. This is an outdoor track, which in the winter months is ice and snow, so as soon as I saw it I knew we were in for a crazy ride. Ford arranged for NASCAR drivers to take us out in the Ford vehicles on the track. Let me tell you, the ride in the F-150 Raptor was insane!

We also had an opportunity to get some winter driving lessons from professionals. This was very good for me because we have had the snowiest winter ever is seems. We did an obstacle course, some emergency stops, and were instructed about what to do when your car begins to skid on the ice or snow.

Next up on the Ford Canada agenda was sled dog rides, and I was so excited because this was something that was on my winter bucket list. It was raining, so not the best weather, but it was still something that I will always remember. The dogs were all super friendly.

Dog Sledding or Mushing

That was the end of the Ford winter adventure, so we all said our good-byes, packed up into the vehicles to drive to the airport in Montreal. Alicia and I extended our trip by an additional day and explored downtown Montreal…but that is another blog post that I will have up soon. Stay tuned!

A huge thanks to Ford Canada for this amazing winter adventure experience.
