This rigatoni pasta recipe is truly delicious. The madeira wine helps to make the sauce really tasty and if you love creamy pasta dishes, you’ll find this one heavenly!

If you’re looking for perfect pasta recipes, you might also like to try this BLT pasta salad, dill pickle pasta salad or perhaps a lasagna al forno.

Rigatoni pasta is the most authentic when making homemade pasta da vinci but you can use another shape if you want. Chicken stock and madeira wine also go into the mix.

The chicken is seasoned with Italian seasoning and pepper and then you have garlic, onions, shallot, and mushrooms in there too – to add some nutrients!

The rich sauce for Instant Pot pasta da vinci combines cream with Madeira wine, garlic, broth, Italian seasoning, and a few other things.

How to Make Chicken da Vinci

So now you are probably wondering how to rustle up your own version of Cheesecake Factory copycat pasta da vinci. The first step in making chicken da vinci is to sauté the chicken in your Instant Pot. Now you can add the veggies and cook them until done.

Set the chicken and veggie mixture aside and move on to the next Instant Pot pasta dinner step, which is deglazing the pan with chicken broth. Add the Madeira wine and pasta and cook.

The last step in this Cheesecake Factory pasta at home dish is to sauté the garlic with butter and flour then combine everything together and serve hot and garnished with parsley.

I love most pasta dishes (being Italian, that’s no surprise!) but this one is extra good. The creamy, rich Madeira wine sauce pairs beautifully with the juicy chicken and perfect al dente pasta to bring you a dish you’ll love.

The addition of Madeira wine makes the chicken da vinci extra special. It would be amazing for a special occasion and you might want to go all out and include a simple green salad and perhaps some crunchy garlic bread on the side too. Else you will find homemade pasta da vinci perfectly satisfying served by itself.

How to Store Instant Pot Pasta da Vinci

Leftovers will be fine for several days in an airtight container in the refrigerator. You can warm Cheesecake Factory copycat pasta da vinci back up in the microwave.

A handy tip when reheating a meal is to arrange the food in a donut shape so it cooks more evenly in the microwave and doesn’t come out with a cold center. You can then give it a stir before serving.

What Kind of Madeira Wine is Best for Chicken da Vinci?

I would recommend using the deep red version. Madeira wine varies in colour and flavour but the red type is the most intense and works best for Cheesecake Factory copycat pasta da vinci. I find the clear or pinkish types nice to sip but lacking in flavour for Instant Pot pasta da vinci.

You need something more robust to balance out the other strong flavours in the recipe. Dry sherry offers a similar flavour so feel free to sub that if you prefer. Else just use any medium-dry fortified wine in the dish.

Can You Make this Instant Pot Pasta Dinner without Alcohol?

Some alcohol will burn off during the cooking process but not all. If you prefer not to use alcohol in this homemade pasta da vinci, that is fine. You can use chicken stock instead with a splash of balsamic vinegar.

Another idea is use half chicken stock and half apple juice. Expect the Cheesecake Factory pasta at home to taste a little different but it should still be very tasty so experiment with these ingredients if you want. And let me know how it comes out!

You will Love this Cheesecake Factory Copycat

The fact you can make Cheesecake Factory copycat pasta da vinci at home in less time than it would take to drive to The Cheesecake Factory, order it and bring it home makes it very attractive!

I love making pasta dishes and was excited to try Cheesecake Factory pasta at home. And I’m happy with how it came out.

If you want to finish the meal with another dish reminiscent of the Cheesecake Factory, you can’t go wrong with blueberry cheesecake ice cream which can also be made from scratch in under an hour.

Looks nice, and I’m In the process of cooking but your recipe is confusing.

2 cups of chicken stock in the pasta section of ingredients and 1/2 cup of broth in the sauce section. Which am I deglazing with? The recipe says to deglaze with the broth… isn’t that for the sauce?

No mention of the 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning and 1/4 tsp pepper flakes in the recipe text.

    1. Hi Andrew, sorry if the text is confusing, I will take a look and tweak it to make it clearer. When I made this dish, I deglazed with the chicken stock and used the broth in the sauce. Now chicken stock is richer in flavor and mouth-feel because it’s made with the chicken bones rather than the chicken meat but I expect they’re interchangeable in this recipe (I just wanted to keep it close to the Cheesecake Factory version). As for the Italian seasoning and pepper flakes they’re included in step 7 (add the remaining sauce ingredients). I hope your dish came out well though!

This Cheesecake Factory copycat pasta is incredible—tastes just like the restaurant version and so easy to make!

  3. other than the instant pot is there another way to cook this I don’t have an instant pot.

    1. Yes. You can use a regular pot on the stove to sauté the chicken and vegetables. Remove the contents of the pan to a bowl. Put the chicken broth in the pot with the madeira wine and noodles, then cook until the noodles are tender and add that mixture to the bowl. After that, you can whisk the remaining ingredients together in the pot until thick, then add the chicken and noodle mixture back in, and cook until coated. I wouldn’t change any of the liquid quantities because there’s no evaporation from the Instant Pot. However, you’ll find the dish takes a little longer to cook as you aren’t pressure cooking. Hope it comes out delicious!
