Breakfast Banana Split with Berries Ingredients
A complete list of ingredients and amounts can be found in the recipe card below.
Banana: The base of your split, naturally sweet and filling.
Greek yogurt: Adds protein and creaminess to balance the crunch.
Granola: Brings texture and crunch, with hints of sweetness (you could try my homemade granola!) I prefer something crunchy or nutty for the texture.
Blueberries: Juicy and mildly tart, they pair well with banana.
Raspberries: Add a pop of color and tart-sweet flavor.
Mint leaves: An optional garnish that adds a contrasting pop of color to the dish.

How to Make a Breakfast Banana Split
For more detailed instructions with weights and measurements, jump to the printable recipe card.
Slice the banana: Cut the banana lengthwise and place both halves in a shallow bowl.
Add granola: Spoon granola between the banana halves to create a base.
Top with yogurt: Add Greek yogurt over the granola.
Add berries: Scatter the fresh berries over the top and serve.

Substitutions and Variations
Make it gluten free: Use certified gluten free granola.
Use flavored yogurt: Swap plain for vanilla, honey or fruit-flavored Greek yogurt.
Change the fruit: Try strawberries, blackberries or sliced kiwi instead.
Add extras: Sprinkle with chia seeds, coconut flakes or a drizzle of honey or maple syrup, nut butter, chocolate chips, chia seeds, fruit cocktail, chunks of pineapple, peanut butter, jam, chocolate syrup or fudge syrup, or chopped mixed nuts! I like to garnish mine with mint leaves too.

Serving Suggestions
With a coffee: Enjoy a frothy Dalgona coffee, cinnamon dolce latte or iced oat milk shaken espresso with your breakfast banana split.
With savory bites: Add contrasting dishes like a hash brown breakfast casserole or breakfast potatoes with crispy bacon to your breakfast menu.

How to Store Breakfast Banana Split
Store: As this breakfast recipe is best served fresh, it’s best to make it fresh. Leftovers can be covered in plastic wrap and refrigerated but they’ll only be good for about a day, so try to only make as much as you’re going to need.
Freeze: I don’t recommend freezing this but if you do have a lot of fruit to use up, you might want to make freezer smoothie packs with it!

Top Tips
Use ripe bananas: They’re sweeter and softer, perfect for this dish.
Assemble just before eating: This keeps the granola from getting soggy.
Try homemade granola: You can control the ingredients and flavor.
Chill the bowl: It keeps the yogurt cold and refreshing longer.
