How to Make Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie

Making this chocolate peanut butter pie is really easy. The first thing you need to do is preheat the oven, and then you can get on with the chocolate graham crust. The piecrust is a mixture of chocolate graham crumbs, butter and sugar. You need to press the mixture into a 9-inch pie plate and then bake it.

The filling is just as delicious as the peanut butter cream pie crust. You will combine cream cheese, icing sugar, cream and peanut butter for the filling. Do that while the piecrust is cooling down.

It’s special enough to enjoy after a holiday meal. Or maybe you have a peanut butter loving friend or loved one who’d like this on their birthday. It keeps for a few months frozen so you might even want to make a couple of these – one for now and one to serve when you have unexpected visitors. Because it’s so good frozen though, you’ll have to resist the temptation to eat it knowing it’s in there!

Make sure the crust ingredients are well combined and then firmly press them over the bottom and partway up the sides of a pie dish. You can use a spring-form pie dish for the chocolate graham crust, so it comes out easier after baking.

The filling should be fluffy and creamy so keep whisking it until it is that texture. Once you add in the icing sugar, you need to beat the mixture until you see stiff peaks. Don’t stop at the soft peak stage – it won’t be as fluffy and light!

Fold in the whipped cream with a wide, flat, metal spoon. This allows some more air into the mixture. It also helps this recipe with peanut butter cups to be as fluffy as possible.
